East Harbour

The landscape of Toronto’s waterfront will be changed significantly with the arrival of the East Harbour Master-Planned Community, a 60 acre site with 12 million square feet of office, retail and institutional developments. Just outside of Toronto’s downtown core, East Harbour is currently the biggest commercial project planned in Canada.  Once complete, East Harbour will be home to approximately 50,000 employees. This development is spearhead by First Gulf, with financial and management contributions from Cowie Capital Partners Inc.

St. Regis

The St. Regis Toronto is the first St. Regis branded hotel in Canada. The reimagined 58 storey hotel and residence, formerly known as Trump International Hotel and Tower Toronto, is undergoing significant changes.  The experience of guests and residents will be enhanced with new amenities and a completely new look and feel thanks to extensive renovations.  St. Regis Toronto is now managed by Marriott International and was formerly purchased by JCF Capital ULC, a special purpose entity incorporated to facilitate the joint venture between Juniper Capital Partners LLC and Cowie Capital Partners Inc. This tower has 211 hotel units and 113 condominium suites ranging in size to upwards of 12,000 square feet. St. Regis Toronto is aptly situated in the heart of Toronto’s financial district at Bay St. and Adelaide St. W.

Originally a 2-story single tenant office building, 370 Speedvale Avenue West has undergone a series of large internal renovations. This includes the complete demolition of all interior finishes, installation of a passenger elevator, modernization of all building electrical systems, and the installation of a new mechanical and fire alarm systems. In late 2017, plans were underway to transform this asset with a 100% complete interior and envelope modernization. This included: Installation of an elevator, Fire alarm system, new plumbing/mechanical and electrical systems, interior finishes, roof/cladding refinishing and exterior landscaping. 370 Speedvale then welcomed new tenants into the building. Anchor tenant being Health Canada and the Public Health Agency of Canada.

55 Kelfield Street, Etobicoke

55 Kefiled St. is a large self storage asset spanning 5 acres. Originally built in 2003, the facility soon was expanded in phase 2 in 2008. After reaching full occupancy again, phases 3 and 4 were put into the works. Phase 3, which is a state of the art 50,000 sqft multi story expansion, was opened in April of 2019. This phase features state-of-the-art climate control, lighting and security systems. Also a sustainable asset built to far exceed OBC standards and implement green roofing and technologies. Phase 4 of this asset is more traditional drive-up style self storage buildings. Maximizing this asset for a long a profitable future.

This facility is the original Canadian Headquarters for BMW Canada. Purchased in 2010, Cowie Capital has upgraded and modernized the office portions of the building, as well as converted the warehouse portions to a modern and efficient open concept office usage. The latest phase of this project is the conversion of 40,000 square feet of warehouse space which will soon be open concept office. This suite will host a hospital management team’s head office. This project is a 100% transformation and upgrade of the existing warehouse, and envelope. The final phase of this project is the conversion of the remaining 40,000 sqft of warehouse, into a modern and open concept office space. This featured a 100% upgrade to all interior systems and finishes. Lakeridge Health now enjoys this as their new home.

920 Champlain Court, Whitby
