Originally a 2-story single tenant office building, 370 Speedvale Avenue West has undergone a series of large internal renovations. This includes the complete demolition of all interior finishes, installation of a passenger elevator, modernization of all building electrical systems, and the installation of a new mechanical and fire alarm systems. In late 2017, plans were underway to transform this asset with a 100% complete interior and envelope modernization. This included: Installation of an elevator, Fire alarm system, new plumbing/mechanical and electrical systems, interior finishes, roof/cladding refinishing and exterior landscaping. 370 Speedvale then welcomed new tenants into the building. Anchor tenant being Health Canada and the Public Health Agency of Canada.

This facility is the original Canadian Headquarters for BMW Canada. Purchased in 2010, Cowie Capital has upgraded and modernized the office portions of the building, as well as converted the warehouse portions to a modern and efficient open concept office usage. The latest phase of this project is the conversion of 40,000 square feet of warehouse space which will soon be open concept office. This suite will host a hospital management team’s head office. This project is a 100% transformation and upgrade of the existing warehouse, and envelope. The final phase of this project is the conversion of the remaining 40,000 sqft of warehouse, into a modern and open concept office space. This featured a 100% upgrade to all interior systems and finishes. Lakeridge Health now enjoys this as their new home.
